2D6 Dungeon - Haunted House Expansion
by Toby Lancaster
This is the Haunted House Expansion for 2D6 Dungeon, a seasonal special, and features the rules and tables for exploring a Haunted House. To play the Haunted House Expansion you will need the 2D6 Dungeon Core Rules to reference, but there are some exclusive and themed rules below that make exploring the Haunted House quite different to exploring a dungeon. You will also need the Tables Codex as some of the tables referenced in this expansion are found there.
Setting and Theme
The Haunted House expansion is based in the same world as the rest of the 2D6 Dungeon and, although the Haunted House theme is often seen in modern contexts, in this situation it is placed in the fantasy world of Coradine. This time though, rather than playing an adventurer, you play the town constable and have been called to a house on the outskirts of town, where something strange is happening. As it happens, it is All Deaths' Eve and locals want the site cleared so the evil does not spread to the rest of the village. They are calling it a haunting, an infestation of Low Magic, but who knows what creatures have taken up residence?
This is an A5 format book with 31 pages. It has been playtested and proofread extensively and is of the same high standard of the core rules.

Always happy to expand the 2D6 world!
Played through a haunted house and it was fantastic! Took me around an hour. I dig the fear points sheet mechanism. Brings some fun tension. ( I got up to 7, eeeek) Going to start a new house and give it another go. The Halloween creatures are awesome. Cheers Toby.
Thanks wickedmonk!
Yay! Looks awesome. Can't wait to play.
Looks fantastic!
Thanks :) 110lbs cardstock cover, full color laser print interior and saddle stitched. I have an industrial guillotine that can cut a ream of paper like butter. So sizing zines and cutting the creep off the edge is a cinch.
Even though it was designed for A5, you left enough of a margin so that I could print it 8.5x11 (5.5x8.5 folded). So thanks for keeping your margins generous. My only recommendation is that you also do that for the text on the cover (the white text goes almost to the edge and could use more space there for us USA folks).
how much is 110lbs in international weight? I assume it is not 50kg, right?
Correct. A ream of 110lbs cardstock weighs 49.895kg. The zine itself weighs significantly less ;)
Ok, i guess I am learning something here. I tried to find out how heavy the pages are that you have printed. When I am ordering paper or let a zine print online, they tell me the weight of the paper used in (g) per sheet. i.e. I can buy thick watercolor paper with 300g or let a zine print with paper weight 90g. This means that we have the information of the weight and therefore the thickness (assuming you have a given size) of one sheet of paper. How does this work with lbs or what is the reference 110lbs referring to and how can I convert this to international standards? Interesting... :)
